The Narrative

 


 Stav Adivi


Stav Adivi is an Israeli native. He joined the Israeli army at 18, served 5 years as a full time member of the IDF.   He then spent 23 years as a reserve officer and was decorated for service. 

 

He has a Bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University, a Masters Degree in Peace and Development Research from the Goteborgs University, Sweden.   Stav  moved  with his family to Toronto Canada while his wife works in computer science.

 

A major in the reserves, Stav Adivi is one of the highest ranking officers among the 630+ reserve combat officers and IDF soldiers who signed the Combatant Letter, that is well known as the

"Courage To Refuse" letter.

 

He was a board member of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) and was the coordinator of the successful campaign against the transfer of southeast Hebron cave dwellers.


Stav believes in the right of Israel to exist . Stav also believes that only if all people, Palestinians and Israelis, enjoy equal rights, peace and security will be able to come to the homeland of both Palestinians and Israelis.

 

He believes that the Occupation of the West Bank & Gaza that takes away all human rights of the Palestinian people and does not serve this goal. Thus he refuses to further be a part of this occupation.
